KVS / NVS Teaching & Non-Teaching Tier 2 Exam 2026 — Conducted, Result Awaited
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) Teaching and Non-Teaching Tier 2 Examination 2026 has been conducted from March 27 to 31, 2026. The exam covered Teaching posts (March 27–29) and Non-Teaching posts (March 27–31). A total of 15,762 vacancies were notified — KVS: 9,921 posts and NVS: 5,841 posts. The Tier 2 result has not yet been declared and is expected in mid-to-late April 2026.
Posts Covered in KVS / NVS Recruitment 2026
KVS Teaching Posts: Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in Hindi, English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Sanskrit; Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in various subjects; Librarian; and others.
NVS Teaching Posts: TGT and PGT across subjects, plus Female Staff Nurse and Catering & Hospitality Assistant.
Non-Teaching Posts: Vice Principal, Finance Officer, Assistant Commissioner, Computer Operator, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and others.
Selection Process — What Tier 2 Means
KVS and NVS recruitment uses a multi-stage process. Tier 1 was a preliminary screening test; the result was declared on February 28, 2026. Tier 2 is the main examination — a subject-specific written test covering the candidate's teaching subject or administrative domain. Candidates who clear Tier 2 proceed to the next stage: Tier 3 (for some posts) or direct document verification / interview.
When Will the Tier 2 Result Be Declared
The Tier 2 result is expected in mid-to-late April 2026. The provisional answer key for Tier 2 was released after the exam, and candidates could submit objections. After processing objections, the final answer key will be published, followed by the result. Check the official portals regularly:
- cbse.gov.in
- kvsangathan.nic.in (for KVS posts)
- navodaya.gov.in (for NVS posts)
What to Do While Waiting for the Result
Keep your Tier 2 admit card and Tier 1 result safe — you will need both at document verification. Prepare your original certificates: educational qualification marksheets, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, and photo identity proof. For teaching posts, your B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. certificate and CTET/STET score card must be ready.
About KVS and NVS — Central School Systems
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan operates over 1,250 Kendriya Vidyalayas primarily for children of central government employees, while Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti runs Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas — residential schools for meritorious students from rural areas. Both are central government autonomous bodies under the Ministry of Education. Positions in KVS and NVS are central government posts with 7th Pay Commission pay scales, DA, HRA, medical benefits, and pensionable service.
