Indian Navy Agniveer SSR & MR INET Exam Date 2026

Indian Navy has announced the INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test) Exam Date for Agniveer SSR and MR 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. The Stage I INET will be conducted from 13 to 15 May 2026.

About Agniveer SSR and MR

Under the Agnipath scheme, the Indian Navy recruits Agniveers in two categories:

• SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit): For candidates who passed Class 12 with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science (minimum 50% aggregate)
• MR (Matric Recruit) — Chef / Steward / Hygienist: For candidates who passed Class 10 (minimum 50% aggregate)

• 01/2027 Batch: Born between 1 December 2004 and 31 May 2009
• 02/2027 Batch: Born between 1 May 2005 and 31 October 2009

Selection Process

Agniveer Navy selection has four stages: INET → Physical Fitness Test (PFT) → Medical Examination → Merit List. INET tests English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The PFT involves a 1.6 km run, pull-ups/push-ups/sit-ups. Final joining is based on overall merit.

Agnipath Scheme — Key Points

Agniveers serve for 4 years. At the end of 4 years, 25% are retained as regular navy sailors based on performance and vacancies. The remaining 75% receive a Seva Nidhi package (approximately ₹11.71 lakh after deduction and government matching contribution) and are eligible for priority hiring in CAPF, state police, and PSU schemes.
