Railway RRB Junior Engineer CEN 05 2025 CBT 2 Exam Date 2026

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced 2 July 2026 as the CBT Stage II exam date for RRB Junior Engineer (JE) CEN 05/2025. This is the second stage of selection for 2,569 Junior Engineer posts across various railway departments. CBT I was held in February 2026 and results were declared on 13 May 2026. Candidates who cleared CBT I are eligible for CBT II.

CBT II Exam Pattern

• Part A (General): General Awareness, Physics, Chemistry, Basics of Computer & Environment
• Part B (Technical): Branch-specific engineering subjects (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, IT, etc.)
• Total: 150 marks | 2 hours | 1/3 negative marking per wrong answer

3. Navigate to CBT II Admit Card section
4. Download PDF and take 2 printouts
5. Admit card becomes available approximately 4 days before the exam

Q: Is there negative marking in CBT II? CBT I had it too?

Yes — both CBT I and CBT II carry 1/3 negative marking. Avoid guessing on questions you are genuinely unsure about. Unlike some other exams, RRB JE has maintained consistent negative marking across both stages.
