SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Exam Date / Exam City 2026

SSC fixed 9 to 15 September 2026 for the computer-based test of the Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2026, which covers 731 posts. The exam city intimation went live on 31 August 2026, just over a week before the first exam day. Applications for this exam had run from 24 April to 15 May 2026, with a correction window on 20-21 May. The CBT window has now closed, and the official website has since moved to the answer key stage with an Answer Key Notice. The skill test comes next for those who clear the CBT, with dates "as per schedule". This page is about the exam date and city slip; the admit card itself was issued through the SSC login.

What to Check

The city slip only tells you the city and date, not the exact centre, so do not book travel to a specific venue until you see the admit card. When you have the admit card, check name, photo, roll number, shift and centre. For candidates who clear the CBT, the stenography skill test comes later, and its details will be in a separate notice.

Documents to Carry

• A printed colour copy of the admit card / call letter / schedule
• A valid original photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Voter ID / Driving Licence / Passport)
