Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the exam date for UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2026. The written examination is scheduled for May 21, 2026. A total of 7,994 posts are to be filled through this recruitment. Candidates who have applied can now prepare with the confirmed exam date in mind. The admit card will be released on upsssc.gov.in approximately 10–15 days before the exam.

Exam Pattern — UP Lekhpal 2026
The UP Lekhpal written exam is an objective (MCQ) test conducted on OMR sheets. The paper covers four sections:
- General Hindi — 25 questions, 25 marks
- Mathematics — 25 questions, 25 marks
- General Knowledge (including UP-specific GK) — 25 questions, 25 marks
- Rural Development & Revenue Administration — 25 questions, 25 marks
Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours duration. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.

About the UP Lekhpal Post
Lekhpal is a revenue department field post at the village and tehsil level in Uttar Pradesh. The Lekhpal maintains land records (khasra-khatauni), conducts land surveys, processes mutation applications, and assists in revenue collection. It is a permanent state government post under the Revenue Department, with pay scale at Level 3 under the 7th Pay Commission (approximately ₹21,700–69,100 per month gross), along with DA, HRA, and other state government allowances.
