RRB CEN 07/2024 Ministerial Isolated Previous Year Paper: Pattern Analysis & Model Questions
Railway Recruitment Boards have conducted ministerial and isolated post exams periodically. The most comparable previous cycle is CEN 03/2019, which also covered teaching posts (PGT/TGT/PRT), Junior Hindi Translator, Staff Welfare Inspector, and Lab Assistant — virtually the same post profile as CEN 07/2024. The CEN 07/2024 exam itself was held in September 2025 and results announced in November 2025. This article analyses the exam pattern from both cycles and provides model questions for key posts.

CEN 07/2024 Exam Pattern vs CEN 03/2019

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Professional Ability (post-specific) | 50 | Moderate to high — directly tests job knowledge | Similar to 2019; JHT questions were translation and OL Act focused | High — differentiating section |
| General Awareness | 15 | Mix of static + current affairs | Railway current affairs + education policy dominated in 2025 | Medium |
| Reasoning & General Intelligence | 15 | Easy to moderate | Consistent with 2019 — series, analogies, direction problems | Medium |
| Mathematics | 10 | Basic Class 10 level | Same level as 2019 — no complex calculations | Low (easy to score) |
| General Science | 10 | NCERT Class 10 level | Physics, Chemistry, Biology basics | Low (easy to score) |
The 1/3rd negative marking (-0.33 per wrong answer) is confirmed for CEN 07/2024 and was present in CEN 03/2019 as well. Unlike SSC (which uses -0.25), this higher penalty rewards accuracy over speed.
