Selection Process
Selection is on merit points. The total of the three MBBS university exams gives up to 5 points (above 70% = 5, 65% = 4, 60% = 3, 55% = 2, 50% = 1), and marks in the specialty subject give up to another 5 points on the same scale. An MD/MS in the specialty adds 10 points, a Ph.D/DM/M.Ch/M.Sc.H in the same specialty adds another 10, and regular or contractual government experience in Bihar adds 2 points per full year, up to 10. Because the interview has been abolished, every candidate gets a flat 6 points in its place. The minimum to be appointed is 16 points. Shortlisted candidates are then called for document verification; that schedule will be notified later.
