CSIR Assistant Section Officer 2026 — 100 Group B Posts via UPSC Pratibha Setu
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is recruiting 100 Assistant Section Officers (ASO) — 61 General, 18 Finance & Accounts, and 21 Stores & Purchase. These are Group B (Non-Gazetted) central government posts with a good pay scale and Central Government benefits. The application window is 23 June to 13 July 2026.
Important — The Pratibha Setu Condition
This is not an open recruitment. It is offered through the UPSC Pratibha Setu Portal: only candidates who appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 but were not finally recommended for any service, and whose details appear on the Pratibha Setu Portal, are eligible. If you are not on Pratibha Setu (from CSE 2024), you cannot apply for this particular recruitment. The basic qualification is a Bachelor's degree in any stream, and the maximum age is 33 years as on 13 July 2026, with relaxation as per Government rules.
