Indian Air Force has released the recruitment notification for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027. This is the Agniveer scheme for the Air Force — a 4-year service engagement (not a permanent job), after which 25% of top performers may be retained as Permanent Airmen. Applications open on 06 July 2026, closing on 26 July 2026. Exam is on 22–23 September 2026.
Candidates must be born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (age 17.5–21 years). Both Science stream (PCM) and non-science stream candidates can apply based on their category.

Physical Standards
- Minimum Height: 152.5 cm
- Chest Expansion: Minimum 5 cm

Selection Process
- Online Written Exam — 22–23 September 2026 (Stage-I)
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — 1.6 km run in 8 min, push-ups, sit-ups
- Adaptability Test (AT-I and AT-II)

Agniveer Scheme Terms
- 4-year service engagement
- Monthly package: ₹30,000 (Year 1) to ₹40,000 (Year 4)
- Seva Nidhi (lump sum at end): ₹11.71 lakhs (tax-free)
- 25% of top performers retained as Permanent Airmen
- Ex-Agniveers get priority in CAPFs/State Police recruitment as per Government policy
