Jharkhand JHTET 2026 — The Teacher Eligibility Test for Jharkhand
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, conducts the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026 — the qualifying exam required to become a teacher in Jharkhand's government schools. JHTET has two papers: Paper 1 for the Primary level (Classes 1–5) and Paper 2 for the Upper Primary level (Classes 6–8). The application window runs 21 April to 20 July 2026 (extended).
Eligibility
Paper 1 (Primary): 10+2 with 50% marks (45% with NCTE relaxation) + 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC, OR Bachelor's degree + D.El.Ed/BTC, OR 10+2 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed. Paper 2 (Upper Primary): Bachelor's degree + 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC, OR Bachelor's 50% + B.Ed, OR 10+2 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed/B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, OR Master's 55% + 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. Candidates eligible for both levels may apply for both papers.
Application Fee
For a single paper: ₹1,300 (General/BC/EWS) and ₹700 (SC/ST). For both papers: ₹1,500 (General/BC/EWS) and ₹800 (SC/ST). Payment is by Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or offline mode.
