Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I apply for both Senior and Basic Computer Instructor posts simultaneously?
If you meet the eligibility criteria for both — yes, you can apply separately for each. The Senior post requires a postgraduate degree (M.Tech/M.Sc CS/MCA/B-Level/C-Level), while Basic requires graduation + A-Level/PGDCA or a technical degree like B.Tech CS/BCA/B.Sc CS. Check the notification carefully for each post's specific requirements.
Q: What is the age cut-off date for RSSB Computer Instructor 2026?
Age is calculated as on 01 January 2027. Maximum age for General male candidates is 40 years, meaning you must be born on or after 02 January 1987.
Q: Does the 3-year extra age relaxation apply to Sanskrit Shiksha department posts?
No. The additional 3-year relaxation (because Rajasthan had no Computer Instructor recruitment after 2022) applies only to Madhyamik Shiksha Vibhag posts. Sanskrit Shiksha posts do not get this benefit as this is a first-time recruitment for them.
Q: What happens during the 2-year probation period?
During the 2-year probation period, candidates receive only a fixed remuneration as per the service rules — no HRA, no DA, and no city compensatory allowance. Full pay scale kicks in only after successful completion of probation and confirmation in service.
Q: What is OTR and is it mandatory for RSSB 2026?
OTR stands for One Time Registration — a one-time process on the SSO/RSSB portal where candidates create their permanent profile. It is mandatory for all applicants. If your OTR is blocked due to two previous absences in one financial year, a penalty of ₹750 is charged to reactivate it. A second block costs ₹1,500 to reactivate.
