IISER Thiruvananthapuram JRF 2026 – Mathematics (Number Theory), ANRF Project, Apply by 30 Nov

Pure mathematics JRFs are scarce, so if you are an MSc Maths student drawn to number theory, note this one. IISER Thiruvananthapuram's ANRF project works on Diophantine approximation with prime restriction, and a background in algebraic number theory is preferred.

The fellowship is ₹37,000 + HRA for two years and ₹42,000 + HRA in the third. The notice gives the age limit as below 25, which is stricter than usual, so check that first. The essential qualification follows ANRF's JRF norms (attached to the official notice). Apply by 30 November 2026.
