India Post GDS Result 2026 — First Merit List Download Guide
India Post ke Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) 2026 ka first merit list result release hua hai. GDS recruitment India Post ka sabse large-scale rural postal recruitment hai — Dak Sevaks, Branch Postmasters, Assistant Branch Postmasters. Selection sirf 10th marks par merit base hai — koi written exam nahi. GDS post rural areas mein part-time government job hai fixed time duty allowance ke saath.
Merit List Kaise Dekhen
- India Post GDS online portal: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
- State-wise merit lists download hoti hain
- Apna state, division, post select karo
- Merit list PDF mein apna naam dhundho (alphabetical/roll number order)
First Merit List ke Baad — Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates ko DV ke liye call letter milega. Documents:
- 10th marksheet (original + 2 self-attested copies) — yahi selection basis hai
- 10th certificate/passing certificate
- Computer certificate (basic computer proficiency)
- Bicycle certificate (agar Dak Sevak post)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS — state issued)
- Aadhaar Card
- Bank account details
- Passport photos (3–4)
GDS Post — Job Profile aur TRCA
GDS Part-time government engagement hai — daily duty: 3–5 hours. Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000–₹29,380/month (level dependent)
- Assistant BPM (ABPM): ₹10,000–₹24,470/month
- Dak Sevak: ₹10,000–₹24,470/month

Q: GDS mein second merit list kab aayegi?
A: Agar first merit list se koi DV mein absent ya disqualified hota hai toh second merit list aati hai — generally 2–4 weeks baad. Portal par watch karo.
Q: GDS post full-time hai ya part-time?
A: GDS officially part-time (3–5 hours daily duty) hai — isliye yeh "Gramin Dak Sevak" hai, regular employee nahi. Lekin TRCA ab kaafi better hai aur benefits bhi hain.
