Salary / Pay
Agniveervayu are paid under the Agnipath Scheme monthly package. In the first year the total package is ₹30,000 per month (₹21,000 in-hand after the ₹9,000 Agniveer Corpus Fund contribution), rising each year to ₹33,000, ₹36,500 and ₹40,000 (₹28,000 in-hand) in the fourth year. On completion of the four-year term, you receive a Seva Nidhi package of about ₹11.71 lakh (tax-free). These are the official Agnipath package figures.
Selection Process
Selection is based on the Stage-I Online Written Test (scheduled 22-23 September 2026), followed by the standard Agniveervayu stages: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test-I and Test-II, and a detailed Medical Examination. You must meet the minimum physical standards — height at least 152.5 cm and chest expansion of 5 cm. Around 25% of enrolled Agniveers may later be selected into the regular cadre.
