University of Allahabad Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 – Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme (Electronics & IT), ₹1,08,393/month, Apply by 18 November

The University of Allahabad (Prayagraj) offers one Postdoctoral Fellowship in its Department of Electronics & Communication under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT, Phase-II, run by MeitY's Digital India Corporation. The research area is Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) or IT/IT-enabled services.

The fellowship pays ₹1,08,393 a month for up to one year, with a contingency grant of ₹1,00,000 a year and travel support up to ₹2,10,000 a year as per norms. You need a PhD completed within the last five years (not from the University of Allahabad), first class in all earlier degrees, publications, and must be 40 or younger. People in regular jobs cannot apply; those in temporary posts must resign if selected. Proposals with industry links are preferred.

Send the form, a research proposal, CV, fee receipt (₹500, or ₹250 for SC/ST/PwD) and documents by India Post so they reach the department by 18 November 2026, and email the same set to nodal_visphd@allduniv.ac.in. Selection is an offline screening test on campus followed by an interview.
