Nationality Requirements

Applicants must be one of the following:

• Citizen of India
• Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01 January 1962 with intention to permanently settle
• Person of Indian origin (PIO) who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, or Vietnam with intent to permanently settle in India

For categories other than Indian citizens, a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India is required.

The OBC NCL certificate date matters more than people realise. CRPF requires an OBC NCL certificate issued in the current financial year (2025–26 for this recruitment). Painter trade has only 84 vacancies — the second lowest after Hair Dresser (3). The ITI in Painter General is a relatively common qualification.
