Educational Qualification
You need a Master's degree in the relevant subject from a university recognised by the UGC or an equivalent body. The minimum marks requirement is:

The Master's degree must be in the subject you are applying for. If you are applying for History vacancies, your Master's must be in History. You cannot apply for Chemistry posts with a History Master's. For Agriculture stream subjects (Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, etc.), the Master's must be in that specific agricultural science discipline — not a general B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture unless it matches the sub-discipline.
If your degree is from a foreign university, it must be recognised as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). PhD from foreign universities ranked in the top 500 internationally may also qualify — check the notification's specific clause.
Teaching Eligibility Requirement (Any One of the Following)

Is NET from Any Year Valid?
Yes. UGC-NET has no expiry date — a certificate from 2015 is as valid as one from 2025. Once cleared, it is valid permanently for teaching eligibility purposes. The same applies to SLET/SET and PhD qualifications.

Age Limit (as of 1 January 2027)
Age is calculated as of 1 January 2027. The minimum age for all categories is 21 years. Maximum age varies by category and domicile:

Age relaxation for reserved categories applies only to candidates with Rajasthan domicile (Mool Niwasi). Candidates from outside Rajasthan applying under the open/general category are subject to the 40-year maximum age for males.
Domicile — Who Needs It and Why
This recruitment is for government colleges in Rajasthan. Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS category seats, age relaxation, fee concession) apply only to candidates who hold a valid Rajasthan domicile certificate (Mool Niwasi Praman Patra). You must belong to the relevant caste/community in Rajasthan specifically — an OBC certificate from another state does not automatically qualify for Rajasthan OBC reservation.
Candidates from outside Rajasthan can apply under the unreserved/general category, subject to the general age limit (40 years for males) and the general fee (₹600). They are not eligible for reserved category benefits regardless of their category in their home state.
