UPSSSC ASO exam आम government exam जैसा नहीं है। GK-heavy paper नहीं, current affairs का बोझ नहीं। ये exam Statistics और Mathematics पर heavy है — 100 में से 65 marks। Maths/Stats background से हैं तो advantage है। Commerce/Economics से हैं तो statistics portion पर extra मेहनत लगेगी।

120 मिनट में 100 सवाल = 1.2 मिनट प्रति सवाल। Statistics calculations के लिए tight है। Speed उतनी ही ज़रूरी है जितनी accuracy।
Part I — सांख्यिकी एवं गणित (65 अंक)
यहीं exam जीता या हारा जाता है। Paper का 65%।
सांख्यिकी आधार (10 अंक)
परिभाषा, क्षेत्र, कार्य, सीमाएँ, दुरुपयोग। Theoretical — एक बार पढ़ो, दो बार revise। आसान 8-10 marks।
Data Collection & Presentation (10 अंक)
- Primary vs Secondary data
- Sampling techniques — Random, Stratified, Systematic, Cluster
- Classification, Tabulation, Frequency Distribution
Central Tendency & Dispersion (10 अंक) — सबसे IMPORTANT
- Central Tendency: Arithmetic Mean, Geometric Mean, Harmonic Mean, Median, Mode
- Dispersion: Range, Quartile Deviation, Mean Deviation, Standard Deviation, CV
- Skewness & Kurtosis
सिर्फ formulas मत रटिए। 20+ numerical problems solve कीजिए — Mean, SD, CV पर। Calculation-based सवाल आएँगे।
Index Numbers (5 अंक)
- अर्थ, महत्व, construction methods, Base change, Splicing, Deflating
Correlation & Regression (5 अंक)
- Karl Pearson's coefficient, Spearman's Rank Correlation, Regression line equation
गणित आधार (5 अंक)
- Set theory, Number system, Logarithm, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry basics
Permutations, Combinations & Probability (5 अंक)
- nPr, nCr, Additive/Multiplicative theorems, Conditional probability, Bayes' theorem
भारतीय सांख्यिकी प्रणाली और अर्थव्यवस्था (15 अंक)
15 marks — सिर्फ facts जानने से मिल जाएँगे:
- जनसांख्यिकीय माप, श्रम सांख्यिकी, राष्ट्रीय आय
- NSS Surveys, NSO structure, UP Statistics Department
Part II — Computer & IT (15 अंक)
- Computer history, Hardware, MS Word, MS Excel
- Internet, Email, e-Governance, Digital India, UPI
- नए topics: AI basics, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, IoT, Big Data
AI/ML/Cyber Security नए topics हैं। ज्यादातर candidates prepare नहीं करेंगे। 2-3 articles पढ़ लीजिए — 1-2 extra marks मिल जाएँगे।
Part III — UP सामान्य ज्ञान (20 अंक)
- UP इतिहास एवं संस्कृति, भूगोल, अर्थव्यवस्था, शासन
- हालिया UP सरकारी योजनाएँ और Current Affairs
तैयारी Strategy — 6 हफ्ते का Plan
- हफ्ता 1-2: Statistics — Central Tendency, Dispersion, Index Numbers। रोज़ 30+ numerical problems।
- हफ्ता 3: Correlation, Regression, Probability। Formula sheet बनाइए।
- हफ्ता 4: Indian Statistical System + Computer/IT। Notes बनाइए, revise कीजिए।
- हफ्ता 5: UP GK — Lucent UP GK या कोई UP-specific guide।
- हफ्ता 6: Mock tests। 3-4 full papers timer लगाकर। गलतियाँ analyze कीजिए।

PET score ASO selection में count होता है?
PET सिर्फ shortlisting के लिए — 15x vacancy के हिसाब से shortlist होते हैं। उसके बाद सिर्फ Mains marks count होते हैं।
Difficulty level कैसा है?
Statistics — graduation-to-PG level। Computer & UP GK — basic। Maths/Stats graduates के लिए moderate, Commerce/Economics वालों के लिए statistics tough लग सकती है।

SP Gupta (Fundamentals of Statistics) + SC Gupta। Practice: कोई भी B.Sc Statistics question bank।
Interview होता है?
नहीं। Selection सिर्फ Mains merit + document verification। कोई interview या personality test नहीं।
