Central Bank of India Apprentice 2026 — 4500 Apprentice Posts Across India
Central Bank of India, one of the country's oldest public-sector banks, is engaging 4,500 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, spread across 36 States and Union Territories. With a large number of seats and a graduate-level eligibility, this is one of the bigger banking-sector apprentice openings this year. The registration last date has been extended to 28 June 2026.
Who Can Apply
You need a Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university, with the graduation completed on or after 1 January 2022. The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 31 May 2026 for General/EWS, with SC/ST getting 5 years and OBC 3 years of relaxation. Knowledge of the local language of the state you apply for is generally required.
Stipend and Selection
Selected apprentices receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 during the 12-month training period; no other allowances are provided. The selection comprises an online examination and a local-language test — the online exam is reported to be around 1 July 2026. Note that this is an apprenticeship, not a permanent bank job.
How to Apply
Registration is done through the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSISSC) portal, after which you apply on the Central Bank of India website under Careers/Recruitments. Complete the process before 28 June 2026. Confirm the application fee, state-wise vacancies, and exact exam date from the official Central Bank notification.
