The National Forensic Sciences University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is India's first and only university dedicated entirely to forensic science, cyber security, and digital forensics education. Established as a central university, NFSU is recruiting 51 non-teaching staff — Section Officers, Deputy Section Officers, and Assistants — to run the administrative machinery of this unique institution. For graduates who want a central university job in a cutting-edge academic environment, NFSU offers something that traditional universities cannot match.
The Roles
Section Officers handle departmental administration — managing examinations, admissions, academic records, establishment matters, accounts, and correspondence. DSOs assist Section Officers and manage specific functional areas. Assistants handle day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks — data entry, file management, record keeping, and front-desk operations. All roles are within the university campus in Gandhinagar, which means a stable, academic work environment with regular hours.
Salary
Section Officer: Pay Level 7 (Rs 44,900 basic). DSO: Pay Level 6 (Rs 35,400). Assistant: Pay Level 4-5 (Rs 25,500-29,200). Central university pay scales with DA, HRA, and other allowances. Being in Gandhinagar — Gujarat's capital with relatively moderate living costs — the salary provides a comfortable lifestyle. Central government NPS, medical, LTC, and children's education allowance apply.
Eligibility
Graduation from recognized university for all posts. Section Officer and DSO may require specific experience in university administration. Selection through written examination and/or interview as per university recruitment rules. Computer proficiency is essential for all positions.
