This Is the Last Step — What DV Actually Means for Your Candidacy
Document Verification is not an exam. There are no marks, no cutoffs, no ranking at this stage. But it is the most consequential step in the entire UPSSSC Junior Assistant 2023 recruitment — because getting everything right here determines whether you get the appointment letter. Getting something wrong can eliminate you even after clearing the typing test. The deadline of 08 June 2026 for online document upload at upsssc.gov.in is absolute. Missing it means your name drops off the list permanently, regardless of your written exam rank or typing test score.
What the Online Upload Stage Is — and What Comes Next
The current stage is the online upload of scanned documents through the UPSSSC portal. This is a preliminary check — UPSSSC's system reviews whether you submitted the correct documents in the correct format. After this upload window closes, UPSSSC will call candidates for a physical Document Verification at a designated center. At physical DV, officers manually check your originals against your uploaded scans. Both stages matter — the online upload is the gate, and the physical DV is the final verification. Missing either one ends your candidacy.
Documents That Most Often Cause Rejection
Three documents trip candidates up more than any others. First, the UPSSSC PET 2022 scorecard — if you do not have this, you are not eligible at all. The PET was the qualifying round that made candidates eligible for Junior Assistant, and without a valid PET scorecard, UPSSSC will reject your DV application regardless of everything else. Second, OBC non-creamy layer certificates — these must be current, issued after the cutoff date specified in the notification. An OBC certificate that is even a few months too old gets rejected. Third, the UP domicile certificate — it must be issued by the appropriate authority (tehsil or SDM level) in Uttar Pradesh. Certificates from gram panchayats or unofficial sources are not accepted.
Typing Speed — You Will Be Verified Again
Your typing test certificate must match what you submitted during the original application. The speed requirements are Hindi 25 WPM and English 30 WPM, and the certificate must come from a government-recognized institute. If your certificate shows a slightly different name than your application, or if it is from an institute not on the approved list, expect questions. Carry originals of all certificates, not just scans — the physical DV stage requires originals for spot verification. Do not rely on photocopies at the physical DV center.
The NIELIT CCC — Why It Matters Even at This Late Stage
The NIELIT CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) certificate was mandatory at the application stage, and it remains mandatory at DV. If you appeared for the CCC exam but your result was not out when you originally applied, you would have been allowed to apply provisionally. At DV, that provisional allowance ends — you must have the actual certificate in hand. If your CCC result is still pending or not available, resolve it immediately before the physical DV call letter arrives. Contact NIELIT directly to get a duplicate certificate if the original is lost.
After DV — The Final Steps to Appointment
Once both online upload and physical DV are cleared, UPSSSC prepares the final merit list based on typing test performance. After the merit list is published, district-wise allotment happens — candidates are allocated to districts based on their rank, stated preferences, and availability. After allotment, the joining process begins at the district level, which involves another round of document submission before the actual appointment letter is issued. The entire post-DV process typically takes 3 to 6 months depending on the state government's administrative timeline. Follow upsssc.gov.in and your registered email for all further updates.
