BEL Chennai 2026 — 16 Technical Posts at a Navratna Defence PSU Unit
The Chennai unit of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is recruiting for 16 technical posts — Engineering Assistant Trainee, Technician-C, Trainee Engineer-I (Mechanical), and Senior Assistant Engineer. There is a post here for diploma holders, ITI holders, and engineering graduates alike. Note the two different deadlines below.
Eligibility by Post
Engineering Assistant Trainee: 3-year Diploma in Electronics or Civil Engineering with 60% (50% for SC/PwBD). Technician-C: SSLC with ITI in Electronics Mechanic trade plus National Apprenticeship Certificate. Trainee Engineer-I (Mechanical): BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year) in Mechanical. The upper age limit is 28 years for General/EWS, relaxed by OBC 3, SC/ST 5, and PwBD 10 years.
Two Deadlines — Don't Mix Them Up
The last date is 1 July 2026 for Trainee Engineer-I, and 8 July 2026 for Engineering Assistant Trainee, Technician-C, and Senior Assistant Engineer. Apply to the right post by the right date. The application fee is paid via SBI Collect (roughly ₹150–₹400 depending on the post); SC/ST/PwBD candidates are typically exempt.
