NHSRCL 2026 — 209 Engineer Posts on India's Bullet Train Project
National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), the company building India's Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train, has announced 209 posts on an absorption basis: Deputy Engineer / Deputy Chief Controller (34 posts, NE-6 grade) and Junior Engineer / Controller / Train Manager / Station Manager (175 posts, NE-4 grade). Applications are open from 15 June to 14 July 2026 at nhsrcl.in.
Important — Who Is Eligible
This is the part many applicants miss: the recruitment is only for regular or contractual employees currently working in the Operations & Maintenance departments of Indian Railways, Government-owned/operated Railways, Metro Railways, or RRTS systems. Open-market candidates are not eligible. If you are not already a serving railway/metro employee, this particular recruitment is not for you. The maximum age is 45 years as on 31 May 2026.
Experience and Pay
Deputy Engineer needs about 5 years of supervisory experience; Junior Engineer needs about 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant O&M field. The pay scales are NE-6: ₹46,000–₹1,45,000 for Deputy Engineer and NE-4: ₹40,000–₹1,25,000 for Junior Engineer (IDA).
