Numaligarh Refinery Limited is looking for seasoned plant hands to guide its teams as Advisors. Five contract posts are open under Advt. 13/2026 (C): two in Boiler Operation and one each in ETP, Nitrogen Plant and DM Plant operation. The role suits retired officers and experienced professionals who have run that specific plant for at least 15 years. About Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)

Eligibility
You should be a retired officer or an experienced professional holding a BE or B.Tech, BSc (Engg.), BSc or Diploma in Engineering. You need at least 15 years of experience operating the exact plant of the post you choose. The Boiler Operation post also requires Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) certification. If you retired from a central PSU, you must have superannuated from Grade C, D or E. You also have to declare in your CV that no vigilance case, departmental proceeding or criminal prosecution was pending or contemplated at retirement or when applying.
The maximum age is 65 years as on 12 November 2026, the same date used for counting experience. No relaxation is mentioned, so treat 65 as firm.

Salary / Stipend

Pay depends on the grade you retired from in a central PSU: Rs 1,25,000 for Grade E, Rs 1,12,500 for Grade D and Rs 1,00,000 for Grade C. For private sector or government candidates, NRL fixes the amount within that range based on your last pay and experience. It is a lumpsum with no other allowances, subject to TDS. TA/DA is paid on tours, and you get 20 days of paid leave per 12 months on a pro-rata basis.
Selection Process
