Eligibility
You need a full-time B.E. or B.Tech with at least 60% marks from a recognised Indian university or institution; PwBD candidates need only pass marks. Mechanical Erection takes Mechanical or Production, C&I Erection takes Electronics, Control & Instrumentation or Instrumentation, and Civil Construction takes Civil or Construction. Every post needs 10 years of post-qualification executive experience in Power, Steel, Refinery, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas or Cement, including 3 years of site work in your area. If you work in a Government or PSU body, 2 of those years must be in the Rs 60,000-1,80,000 scale (NTPC E3) or higher, and you need an NOC.
The maximum age is 43 years for all three posts. PwBD candidates get 10 extra years where a vacancy is identified for them, and Ex-Servicemen relaxation follows Government guidelines. The notification states no separate OBC relaxation. Age, experience and qualification are all counted as on the last date, 30 October 2026.

Selection Process
NTPC has not fixed the stages. Add 2 pay slips for every year with each employer; private sector candidates also add Form 16 for the last 3 years. There is no fee. Submit by 30 October 2026, 6:00 PM, and save the application slip.
