OFCH Apprentice 2026 — 140 Apprentice Seats at an Ordnance Factory
Ordnance Factory Chanda (OFCH), a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, has opened 140 apprentice seats: 45 Graduate Apprentice (Engineering — Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), 45 Graduate Apprentice (General — B.Sc/B.Com/BCA), and 50 Technician Apprentice (Diploma holders). For engineering and science graduates, an apprenticeship at a defence ordnance factory is solid hands-on exposure. The completed offline application must reach OFCH, Chandrapur (Maharashtra) by 9 July 2026.
Eligibility — and a Big Plus: No Upper Age Limit
You need an Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), a general degree (B.Sc/B.Com/BCA), or an Engineering Diploma, depending on the apprentice category. The minimum age is 14 and there is no upper age limit, which makes this accessible to a wide range of candidates. Apprentices already holding 1+ year of experience after qualifying are generally not eligible.
Merit-Based — No Written Test
There is no written test and no interview. Selection is purely on academic merit — the marks you scored in the final year of your qualifying degree or diploma. The monthly stipend is ₹12,300 for Graduate Apprentices and ₹10,900 for Technician Apprentices.
