Eligibility
For GDMO you need an MBBS from a university or institute recognised by MCI, NMC or SMC. For a Specialist post you need an MBBS plus a PG Diploma or PG Degree in the same speciality. Every candidate must be registered with MCI, NMC or SMC, or hold a valid practitioner licence in the State or National Register. Ex-employees of SAIL, other PSUs and government bodies can apply, unless they left through voluntary retirement.
The upper age limit is 69 years as on 27 October 2026, the date of the advertisement. No minimum age and no category-wise relaxation are given. Selected doctors must be fit for their duties.
