Both posts require: knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture — these are tested in Paper I (Rajasthan GK).

Extra 3-Year Relaxation — Madhyamik Shiksha Only

The Madhyamik Shiksha Vibhag (Secondary Education Department) posts get an additional 3 years of age relaxation over and above the standard relaxation, because no Computer Instructor recruitment was conducted in this department after 2022. This means for Madhyamik Shiksha posts, a General Male candidate can be up to 43 years old (not 40) as on 01-01-2027.

This extra 3-year relaxation does NOT apply to Sanskrit Shiksha Vibhag posts — that department is running this recruitment for the first time.

Domicile / Residency Requirements

Candidates from outside Rajasthan can apply, but there is a key difference in fee and category treatment:

• Rajasthan domicile candidates can claim SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS reservation and pay reduced fee (₹400)
• Candidates from other states applying under SC/ST/OBC/EWS are treated as General category and must pay ₹600. Their category reservation benefits do not apply.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories is only for Rajasthan domicile candidates

OTR (One Time Registration) — Mandatory Prerequisite

You cannot apply for RSSB Computer Instructor 2026 without completing OTR (One Time Registration) on the SSO portal (sso.rajasthan.gov.in). Key OTR rules:

• OTR must be completed before the application window opens
• If you have an OTR from a previous RSSB application, the same OTR is valid — no need to re-register
• OTR gets blocked after 2 absences in the same financial year. First block: ₹750 to unblock. Second block: ₹1,500. Complete your OTR, register, and show up for exams you apply to.

What No Other Site Tells You About RSSB CI Eligibility

• PGDCA must be minimum 1 year: Some PGDCA programs are 6-month courses. The RSSB notification specifies minimum 1-year duration. If your PGDCA is only 6 months, it doesn't qualify for Basic CI.
• BCA from open universities: The notification says "BCA from a University established by law in India." This typically includes IGNOU-BCA and state open university BCAs — but check whether your specific institution is considered "established by law." Some private deemed universities may not qualify. Verify before applying.
• A-Level ≠ A-Level certification anywhere: The A-Level qualification must be from NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology), formerly DOEACC. Private institute certificates labeled "A-Level" don't count unless issued through NIELIT's official accreditation chain.
• Age as on 01-01-2027: Unlike most RSSB exams where age is calculated as on the notification date, for this recruitment it's calculated as on 01 January 2027 — giving an extra ~7 months of eligibility compared to a May 2026 cutoff.

For Basic Computer Instructor: Yes — B.Tech in ECE is explicitly listed as eligible ("EIC / TIE" variants are mentioned; ECE falls under this).
