Indian Navy Agniveer MR / Apprentice 02/2026 – Apply Online
The Indian Navy has released the Agniveer 02/2026 batch notification for enrollment as Agniveer (MR – Matric Recruit) and Apprentices. This recruitment is under the Agnipath Scheme — a short-term 4-year defense service scheme. Selected Agniveers serve for 4 years, after which 25% may be retained for permanent service based on performance and vacancies. The Navy Agniveer MR programme covers trades like Chef, Steward, and Hygienist/Sanitation. This recruitment is for unmarried male Indian nationals only.

Eligibility
- Education: 10th pass (Matric) for Agniveer MR. For Apprentice posts, 10th pass with ITI in relevant trade.
- Age Limit: 17.5 to 22 years (born between specific dates — check official notification for exact dates for 02/2026 batch).
- Marital Status: Unmarried male candidates only. Female candidates are not eligible for MR category.
- Nationality: Indian National (including Gorkha subjects from Nepal).
- Physical Fitness: Height minimum 157 cm, weight proportionate to height, good physical fitness for Navy standards.
